To earn college credit you must be enrolled all year in the following classes and make an 80% in the class(es) as well as 80% on the final exam(s). You may only take two college courses at a time and you must be a Junior or Senior in high school with a 2.75 GPA to qualify.
When we get all of the paperwork from Central Christian College for next year, I will send out an email with the form. The price they charge Brighton students for a 3 credit class was $130 and a 4 credit class was $174. This price is in addition to the Brighton class as it is paid to Central Christian College via Brighton Administration.
What to do:
- If you are interested in taking any of these Brighton classes for college credit, please register for the Brighton class online.
- Wait for forms to be sent from Central Christian College.
- Fill out form including your student’s social security number.
- Update your student’s transcript.
- Send completed form, transcript, and college credit tuition (checks payable to Brighton Academy because they invoice Brighton and want one check) to Heather Jarrett, 12813 Mastin St., OP, KS 66213.
*For classes that state approval pending, be advised that while we will offer the courses for high school credit, we will not know until May whether we have gained approval for dual credit from the college.
